Sheet B-00
A firm built for both halves of the job.
DGS — Development Growth Solutions — brings strategists, researchers, engineers and designers into one team, so the people who work out what to do are the same people who build it.
01Why we exist
Too much good advice dies at the handover. Too much good software is built without knowing why.
Most organisations buy strategy from one firm and technology from another. The strategy arrives as a document; the technology team reads it months later, interprets it, and builds something slightly different. Context is lost at every step.
We founded DGS to close that gap. Our Advisory team diagnoses problems with real evidence: market data, field research, policy analysis. Our Technology team builds the websites, platforms, apps and automations that put the answer to work. They sit together, plan together and answer for the result together.
We are new, and we are honest about it. You won't find borrowed logos or inflated numbers here. You'll find a method, a standard, and people who would rather show their working than claim to be the best.
02Principles
Five rules we work by.
- 01
Start from the decision.
Every study, model and product starts with the decision it serves. If we can't name it, we don't start.
- 02
Show the working.
Sources, assumptions and methods are written down and shared. You should be able to check everything we tell you.
- 03
Build what we recommend.
We don't hand over a plan and walk away. If it needs a product, we can build it, and we're accountable for both.
- 04
Say what we don't know.
Uncertainty is reported, not hidden. A range you can trust beats a precise number you can't.
- 05
Leave you stronger.
Models, systems and skills stay with your team. Our best engagements end with you needing us less.
03Independence & ethics
Commitments you can hold us to.
Research and evaluation only matter if they can be trusted. These commitments apply to every engagement.
Independence
For research and evaluation work, our independence terms are written into the contract. Commissioners may check facts; they may not change findings.
Conflicts of interest
We disclose any relationship that could affect our judgement before work begins, and decline work where a conflict can't be managed.
Research ethics
Informed consent, confidentiality and do-no-harm are non-negotiable. Studies involving vulnerable groups are reviewed before fieldwork.
Data protection
Personal data is collected only when needed, stored securely and processed in line with GDPR and local law.
04 — The name
Development. Growth. Solutions.
Three words for three things we care about: developing understanding, growing organisations and building solutions that work. Two interlocking halves in one mark.
